About Gijs

I’m Gijs van Dam — an operations and supply chain strategist who has spent his career at the intersection of private equity and industrial transformation.

After starting in supply chain consulting at PRTM (later acquired by PwC), where I earned rapid promotion and led operational turnarounds across European manufacturing — including a project that won the 2013 UK Management Consulting Award — I moved into corporate strategy at EndemolShine Group, advising the board on M&A and leading the 2018 sale of the group.

In 2018, I co-founded Globitas, a mid-market private equity firm in Amsterdam. Over six years, we built a portfolio of 8 platform companies with combined revenue exceeding €600M. I led hands-on operational transformations across industrial, manufacturing, retail, and services businesses — from mapping cost bases and redesigning supply chains to running weekly execution cadences that delivered measurable EBITDA improvement.

Today, through Conveqx, I work independently with PE firms and their portfolio companies on the operational challenges I know best: supply chain transformation, manufacturing optimisation, post-acquisition integration, and operational turnarounds.
